Interdisciplinary Workshop on Statistical and Analysis Methods in Nuclear, Particle and Astrophysics
The goal of the meeting on "Statistical and Analysis Methods in Nuclear, Particle and Astrophysics" is to bring together experts on these methods from different communities. In this way, we would like to foster new cooperations and projects. We plan a one-week workshop. The concept involves about eight topical presentation sessions in which the speakers present their scientific questions and methods in talks. Each topical 2h session will be followed by a 1h discussion session. The participants should including groups from ECT* which are working in this field as well as groups from the partner institutions of the Excellence Cluster Universe in Garching/Munich, i.e. the Technische Universität München, the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, four Max-Planck Institutes for Physics, Extraterrestrial Physics, Astrophysics and Plasmaphysics, the European Southern Observatory, and the Computer Centre Leibniz-Rechenzentrum. Finally, a contigent of people from all over the world should be selected from the list of registrations.
